After a while chrome will start to come off from your shift knob. This is very annoying. So I dissaseble it and respray it mat black, because it is from plastic you need to apply primer on it otherwise paint will come off.

remove top plate with sharp thing, under it it is a screw. If you want to remove whole thing, just pull it up
