Another BMW thing that will decompose over time is headlight gasket. It is actually another stupid invetion from BMW. It costs 15 eur per piece. So I went to a local shop with seals and bought seal for just 3,5 eur.

Bmw shift knob respray

After a while chrome will start to come off from your shift knob. This is very annoying. So I dissaseble it and respray it mat black, because it is from plastic you need to apply primer on it otherwise paint will come off.

BMW m47 egr blanking

I cleaned egr and intake manifold 2 times on my bmw. Because I need to replace my glow plugs and also solve some thermostat leak, I also decide to block egr valve.
I bought blanking plate on ebay. I drilled 6,5mm hole in it, because I hoped I won’t need remapping again.
I also replaced all seals on intake manifold. I must say car is far much responsible. You can feel more torque and consumption is now 0.7 liter lower.
Maybe I should drill a bit bigger hole, because one time engine light comes on, with message that it doesn’t get enough gas from exhaust.

BMW transfer case knocking

Suddenly my bmw started knocking when i was turnig left or right at slow speeds. I thought there is some problems with bushings , rear differencal. Eventually I realized that my rear shocks are broken. So I replaced them with new one. But that didn’t solve my issues with knocking.
I was praying that it is not the fear off all xdrive drivers, transfer case.
So one day I flush oil from it. Oil was burned, black :S After just 40 000 km. It should last aprox 60 000km. I must say that I didn’t drive it offroad a lot.
So I replaced oil not with genuie bmw oil, but with oil from ravenol. And problems are suddenly gone.
Mazda 6 2.0d injectors

After just 135 000km mazda injectors are all faulty. How can cars nowadays can be such a shit. All 4 injectors are leaking.
Dealership says that problems is fuel, fuel company says that fuel is tested with standards. Who to believe, nobody. Cars are just business. We will soon or later miss old good days. I ended up with big bill in my pocket.
Totally pissed off. Don’t buy modern common rail diesel.
