Here is my experience with Kopterworx. Kopterworx sells DJI products and repairs them.
I had problems with my camera, so I sent them my drone for warranty repair. I sent them by mail packed in original package put in another box, with fragile and mail insurance. They repaired it and sent it to me. The only problem was blurry pics on camera, everything else was like new. I was very happy at the beginning with new camera, because whole gimbal was replaced.
So I went outside for test flight and found out that remote is not working after repair. Something was rolling inside of remote. So I called them and send them a mail and they didn’t answer. Then I wrote post on Facebook page. His CEO Matjaz Kranjcevic replied immediatlly with comments like it was working when we tested and stuff in a rude way. They sent Phantom 3 back with normal mail, without fragile stickers or insurance.
I called him next morning and he said it is rude to post video on youtube and write posts on facebook. He was very rude, he didn’t wanna hear anything about broken remote. He said it was a favour and he won’t do that anymore. I’m asking how this is a favour if it was warranty repair!! He said you will wait now for 40 days for repair, because you posted video on youtube. He was so insulted and said it is my fault and stuff. If someone should be insulted is me, because I received damaged remote. After that I sent him my remote back.
Now it is more than one week, nobody sent me RMA number and no one is answering my email.
That’s how they treat customers. They have poor communication, they are rude. They think there clients are stupid and they are acting like they are big boss. Customers spend over 1500 eur at their shop. He could just said send remote back and we will check it. Matjaz Kranjcevic communication is suitable for being manager of a junkyard not for real business.
Here is video of remote received after repair at Kopterworx.
Here is my video from this car meet.
This weekend was 35 gti treffen in Celovec also knows as Klagenfurt. They called it back to the roots. So there were no other VAG brands like skoda, seat and audi. I must say that atmosphere would be much better if they were, because they are part of VAG group. So a lot of visitors missed them. But still there was plenty to see.
Video is coming soon:
Engine suddenlly started losing perfomance, hesitating not running smoothly. I connected obd tester and found that DPF or FAP filter was jammed.
I checked my options on a web and found out that the cheapest way is to try with cleaner in a can. All other options are professional and require spray guns and other tools.
I bought CARTECHNIC DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER CLEANER for 13 euros, which is cheaper than wurth DPF cleaner. You can buy it from Stahlgruber.
Here are specs of cleaner:
Applications:
Lift your car up and locate dpf filter under your car:
Than stick hose in hole and pointed in direction of your dpf and slowlly move it while spraying. Then screw sensor back and wait for aprox 15 min. Erase all faults on your engine computer and make sure your fuel tank is at least half full.
On some cars you can force dpf regeneration with obd tester when car is heated.
Startup your car and you will immediatlly see smoke from exhaust and don’t turn it off. Smoke is sign that the ashes and carbon deposits are removed from dpf filter. Go for half hour drive, your car can smoke up to 15 min. You can also start regeneration from obd tester.
I must say that after the cleaning car is much more powerfull and throtle response is much better. I’m very pleased. I might buy another can, because in manual is that if DPF is very dirty you will need 2 cans.
After I replaced headunit, speakers and installed amplifier it was time for backup camera.
I bought wireless kit and camera, because my old was not suitable for mounting it anywhere on my x3. I must say that wireless kit works great. It should be easy install, as always things complicate.
One of the biggest problems is Can bus. This thing really sucks. You could just connect power cables on licence plate lights. It will work ok, until you will turn on your cas, then camera will start to flash. I already disabled checking lights with ncs expert, but that isn’t helped. I hate can bus!!! So I had to connected directlly to headunits rca and remote cable.
I could connected to rear wipper, but that would mean that camera will be on even without ignition on and that will also drain battery.
I must say x3 has the most complicated licence plate light in the world. You can just change stock light with camera+light like on other models.
You can check how to remove trims here from this post. I was sucked in to work and again forgot to took more pics :S He has very nice article how to remove trims.

Here is removed trim:
Checking where I will fit it:
Drilling holes:
Mounting it on licence plate panel:
Secured with high quality hot glue:
Here is how you can help yourself:
Camera installed:
Drilling hole for cable to trunk door. Always paint damaged metal with anti rust and quality paint!
I connected power of camera to remote cable from headunit and also connected cable from heaunit to backup light, so when you put in reverse camera automaticlly turns on.
I had to run all wires throuh this rubber. So much fun! Noooot. I had to cut rca connector to get it through.
So in trunk I had to solder them back to rca connector:
Here is reverse gear detection cable connected to rear backup light:
And after 5 hours finally:
In bmw x3 stock sound system is crap. I already replaced all speakers and on an easter sunday I decided to install amp. I already had it from previous car with all cables and other stuff I needed.
There are several options where you wanna install it. I decided to install in it trunks floor.
It is very easy to connect power cables because BMW’s are having battery in a trunk.
You need just to install cables for signal cables like remote, 3 pair inputs RCA and I also install cables for rear camera.
Dash, cables every where 🙂
And finally 12 inch sub
I already installed 2 din radio in my x3. Sound is so much better now. I can finally enjoy it 🙂
Here is one video how you can adjust valves on Kadett C . Inlet valves are 0.15 mm and outlet valves are 0.25.
So recommended is that the engine is warm. If you are playing with cold engine I recomment that you adjust valves on IN 0.20 and outlet on 0.30. When engine heats up, material expands. So it is much better if the valve clearence is higher then lower. It is is lower the valves won’t seat and you won’t have good compression.
First just check valve clearence when engine is not runnig, by removing the cover. Rule is that you setup 4 cylinder when 1 cylinder valves are leveled, then 2-3,3-2 and 1-4. You set them up with 15mm socket.
Be carefull cause valves are messed up in this engine. See picture below.
After you checked the clearence, turn on the engine and carefully check the clearence again. Do not touch gas pedal, because you don’t want oil all over your engine bay. You can also add piece of paper so oil won’t spray all over the engine.
And here is video when engine is running.
I had pair of 16 cm very quaility Hertz speakers in my closet. Since BMW car audio system is crap and I didn’t find proper space for speakers in door I installed it in floor.
First disconnect battery, because if you won’t your airbag light could turn on on dash.
You need to remove the seat and disconnect cable from seat. Then unscrew top cover. And then under a carpet you will see 2 m6 nuts. Unscrew them and take out box. It can be tricky.
Here is stock floor speaker:
Then I cut with saw suitable speaker adapter bracket from 19mm mdf board-plywood and painted in black so I looks better and it is protected from moisture.
And stock cover will fit, thats nice 🙂
Here is how it looks in the car.
I will also install amplifier and connect those speakers on it. Because headunit doesn’t provide enough power for the speakers. But I’m happy with install. Sound is much better now than with stock speakers.
I was so tired of stock audio system in Bmw. Bmw should have better speaker in his cars.
I already replaced headunit with 2 din unit. Now it was time to upgrade door speakers.
I bought cheap renegade rx 42 4 inch, 10 cm speakers. They costed me 20 eur.

You can check more specs here: http://www.carid.com/renegade/4-2-way-coaxial-120w-speakers-mpn-rx42.html#applications
I was a bit gredy so I wanted to install the strongest speakers. That made my install a little bit difficult. Problem is mounting depth, because it is aprox 52 mm and stock is 48 mm. So I had to remove plastic magnet cover.
Door panel is relatively easy to remove. You remove trim and under it you will find torx screw, one is located under the airbag sign and one under arm rest.

You don’t need to remove trim from door, you can just simply put it on a chair or box. Please be carefull with airbag. If you want to completlly remove the trim, disconnect the battery first.

As you will see bmw speaker has only 3 screws. Another stupid thing from german engineering, they just want more money! But don’t worry, just screw top 2 screws and use big washer on third and speaker won’t go anywhere.

Cut original connector aprox 2 cm from connector so you can solder back it, if you would like to install your old speakers back in the car.
I noticed much better sound quality and better frequency range. It would be much better if I would install amplifier or I will also replace headunits power cable with new cable.
